Embraer and TUSAŞ Explore Partnership to Produce E-Jet E2 Aircraft in Turkey ⚙️✈️

Brazilian regional aircraft manufacturer Embraer and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), one of Turkey’s leading aviation players, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore potential cooperation in civil aircraft production. The agreement reflects both parties’ intention to strengthen industrial collaboration, with particular focus on the final assembly of the next-generation E-Jet E2 family in Turkey.

The scope of the MoU extends beyond production, also covering potential joint R&D and design efforts. Turkey’s strategic location between Europe and Asia and its rapidly growing passenger traffic make it an attractive investment destination for Embraer. In response to rising demand, Turkish airlines continue to expand their fleets.

In recent years, national flag carrier Turkish Airlines placed a major order for 220 Airbus aircraft, while Pegasus Airlines gained attention with an order for 200 Boeing jets.

The MoU between Embraer and TUSAŞ was signed during the LAAD Defense & Security 2025 exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. TUSAŞ Chairman Mehmet Demiroğlu commented on the partnership, stating: “Through this collaboration with Embraer, we aim to further advance our technological capabilities and take on a stronger role in the future of aviation.”
